It sets the tone for how we work, clearly establishes ground rules and plays an important role in allowing everyone to be part of keeping each other safe, without needing to take anyone elses worrys or pains away with them.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was created in conjunction with our members, and is updated annually with their feedback in mind.<\/p>\n<p>We adapt the agreement for different types of group and begin each training session by creating a new one.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;2_5&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_padding=&#8221;|40px||40px|false|false&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Everything discussed is confidential, except if someone is at risk of harm, then we may need to ask for help to keep them safe<\/li>\n<li>We are considerate of everyone\u2019s privacy on social media \u2013 nothing is shared without consent<\/li>\n<li>We are non-judgemental and respect everyone\u2019s different opinions<\/li>\n<li>This is a safe place to vent<\/li>\n<li>We focus on our strengths and what is positive, where we can<\/li>\n<li>No health professionals are here in their professional capacity<\/li>\n<li>We are aware of swearing, language and content of discussions where kids are present<\/li>\n<li>We are honest and realistic<\/li>\n<li>We don\u2019t need to fix other people&#8217;s problems or continue to thinking about them afterwards<\/li>\n<li>You don\u2019t have to say anything or explain why you are here if you don\u2019t want to<\/li>\n<li>The strength of peer support is in the group environment<\/li>\n<li>If you need to leave the room, feel free to ask someone to go with you, or let us know if you\u2019re not returning to the session<\/li>\n<li>Everyone has the chance to talk and express themselves, be listened to and not be interrupted<\/li>\n<li>You don\u2019t have to talk about \u2018mum\u2019 things, it can be anything<\/li>\n<li>Your feelings are valid no matter what<\/li>\n<li>Your experiences are no more or less important than anyone else\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>You don\u2019t need to disclose anything you don\u2019t want to i.e. job, area<\/li>\n<li>We encourage members to make friends outside of the groups and equally, if you don\u2019t want to you don\u2019t have to<\/li>\n<li>Boundaries are important, are different for everyone and can change over time<\/li>\n<li>Facilitators are members too and have their own lived experiences<\/li>\n<li>We are all human &#8211;
