Five Years ago, today, Katie started working at Happy Mums on a 7-month Admin Assistant contract. She soon became the glue that holds everything together and has progressed to operations manager.
The one who knows where that file is, where we should be when and, of course, who all the little ones run to!
Being open about mental health struggles isn’t easy, Katie is quietly open about her journey with anxiety, relating to mums and volunteers through welcome emails and supporting at groups as a group helper.
She is absolutely instrumental in keeping everything running smoothly – here’s to another 7 month contract (AKA 5 years)!
‘Thank you Katie, I genuinely don’t know where Happy Mums would be without you. You are a huge support not just to all our mums but to me as well, keeping me going, reminding me to take a break. You are stronger than you know and an amazing Mum to Betsy and Stewie.’
Lucinda Bray, Managing Director
‘Wow, 5 years, what an amazing milestone! Happy Mums have been utterly blessed with Katie’s clockwork magic that keeps Happy Mums moving onwards and upwards. Her diligence, her dependability, her integrity – we are blessed to have her as part of the Happy Mums team. Thank you Katie, and biggest of congratulations for your 5th work anniversary 🎉’
Lizzie Anderson, Chair of the Board of Directors
‘Katie’s warm heart and calm head make her an amazing person to know and work with. She really is the glue that holds it all together – she always knows when someone is struggling, she always knows how to make life better. I feel so lucky to have met her and worked with her. Everyone should have a Katie.’
Sarah Penn, Board Director
