Help Save Happy Mums and Ensure No Mum Faces Challenges Alone

For over 10 years, Happy Mums has provided free maternal mental health and wellbeing support to families across Cumbria and online. We have supported over 1,000 families, but our services are now at risk due to a critical funding gap.

Whether you’d like to donate, fundraise, raise awareness or introduce us to potential supporters, every action makes a difference.

Why We Need Your Help

  • Over 1,000 families supported since 2015
  • 75% of mums attending Happy Mums receive no other mental health support
  • 92% report improved wellbeing
  • Less than 3 months of reserves remaining

Without urgent support, services supporting mums across Cumbria could be lost.

Make a one-off or regular donation through our fundraising campaign.

Fundraise

Hold a coffee morning, raffle, quiz, sponsored challenge, bake sale or workplace fundraiser.

Raise Awareness

Share our story, contact your MP, speak to local businesses, or help spread the word on social media.

Easy Fundraising

Support us as you shop online – raise funds for us without it costing you a penny!

Hold a Fundraiser

Whether you organise a coffee morning, bake sale, sponsored walk, raffle, quiz night, dress-down day at work, charity football match, birthday fundraiser, craft sale or community event, every pound raised helps us continue providing vital support to mothers and families.

You don’t need to plan a huge event to make a difference. Some of the most successful fundraisers have started with one person simply sharing their story and asking friends, family and colleagues to get involved.

As well as raising money, fundraising events help raise awareness of maternal mental health and the importance of community support for mums who may be struggling.

Promote your event

We’ve created a range of resources to help you spread the word.

The toolkit includes: Social media graphics, Fundraising banners, Statistics graphics, Poster headers and footers, Template press releases, Letter templates for MPs, councillors, businesses and influencers, Key facts and statistics sheet

Use these materials to help make your fundraiser look professional and ensure consistent messaging about Happy Mums.

Remember

People donate to causes, but they are inspired by people.

The combination of:

  • Your story
  • Our impact statistics
  • A simple way to donate

is often the most effective way to encourage support for Happy Mums.
