What's next:
Mandatory Online Training
If you haven’t already completed these on the e-Learning for Health platform, please do so:
- Safeguarding Children – Level 1 and Level 2
- Safeguarding Adults – Level 1 and Level 2
- Suicide Awareness Training (within your first year)
These are essential for working with vulnerable mums and children.
Settling-In Sessions
You’ll take part in 2–3 supported facilitation sessions alongside an experienced facilitator. This is your chance to:
- Practise what you’ve learned in a real group setting
- Build confidence with gentle guidance
- Ask questions and reflect on your experience
Readiness Chat
After your settling-in sessions, you’ll have a check-in with the Facilitating Lead or Lucinda to make sure you feel ready and supported before leading a group independently.
Your Support Network
Remember, you’re never alone in this role.
You’ll have:
- Ongoing supervision and support chats
- Peer connection with other facilitators
- Access to resources and the Volunteero app for updates and reporting
